San Antonio 2012

Meeting Place: The Drop Zone Café and Bar located at 1804 Carson St. San Antonio, Texas at 8:30 am. On Wednesday Feb. 22, 2012.
Alamo Army Ball San Antonio, committee holds its regular meeting for the scheduled Alamo Army Ball on June 15th in 2012.
Chaired by founder, Purple Heart Patriot and member of the 173rd Air Borne Brigade Jesse Villarreal and co-founder Jerry Lang loss. All veterans organizations were represented in the committee.

AGENDA

1. Ticket Sales/Raffle:

People are being asked to sell tables.

2. Up-to-date on T-shirts, MC, Speaker, Invited Guests:

T-shirts: we have not received any extra information; may be running behind schedule.

                  MC: will be Mike Pecina
                 Speaker: still insisting Leticia Van de Putte; second choice is Major
                              General Trombitas

Invited Guests: Val is in progress of collecting information on the invited honorary guests

3. Second Fundraiser-To be held Saturday, May 26, 2012:

a. VFW Post 9186

b. Event Coordinator-Carlos Mujica (delegated by Jesus Villarreal)

c. Assistants-Luis Reyna

4. Suggestion—Breakfast at Mi Tierra’s:

--10:00 AM, Saturday, April 16 for Committee and Invited Guests

Suggestions were made of everyone paying for themselves.

--Wine for Banquet (40 Bottles): asking H-E-B for donation of wine bottles

5. Flyers for Fundraiser:

Flyers were discussed and will be printed for the next meeting.

6. Face Book:

There was a discussion of using face book to sell tickets, but nothing concrete.

7. Open for Questions or Debate:

The debate or concerns were that everyone should pay for their own meals the day after the ball; however, no agreed or disagreed. Further to follow.
Val suggests in the beginning to light-up candle for service members and then silent prayer. At intermission--To toast will be the oldest in the room and the youngest in the room.

Or Veterans Service Uniforms.
